A truly exceptional terroir for outstanding wines
The Setting
Proximity to the sea, abundant sunshine, a mild climate year-round and a steady wind together give rise to intense, one-of-a-kind wines.
The Climate
The wide swing in temperature between day and night preserves the wines' acidity and complex aromas, lending them a fresh, beautifully balanced character.
The Vines
The vines grow nestled among almond, olive and orange trees. Clay-rich soils, full of nutrients and minerals, give the grapes ideal growing conditions and lend the wines their signature freshness and complexity.
Three layers that shape our wine
Soils rich in nutrients and minerals give the grapes singular growing conditions and lend the wines their characteristic freshness and complexity.
Red clay
Iron-rich and heat-retaining. It gives the vines a constant base temperature even through cool nights.
Limestone & marl
The mineral backbone of the wines – it brings salinity, tension and a fine acidity to the grapes.
Alluvial schist
It stores warmth by day and releases it slowly at night. It heightens the aromatic depth of the red wines.

"The vines grow nestled among almond, olive and orange trees – every wind that moves through our vineyards carries a piece of the Algarve into the grape."
The wide temperature differences between day and night give the wines their acidity and complex aromas – a fresh, balanced taste that tells of the region.
A singular place, tended with care
